Senior R&D Engineer Startup Opportunity

The Magna Imperio Systems is looking to fill the vacancy of a senior research engineer to lead the Water and Industrial Wastewater areas.

As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will take ownership of developing an innovative solution for our customers and ensure that we deliver a flawless service. You will lead the efforts in the identification, development, scale‐up, and industrialization of new products and processes for a variety of industrial markets. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide insight for bids on new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for:

● Developing innovative new processes that support the company’s business objectives. This will include:
● New idea generation and project definition
● Experimental design for bench scale and pilot scale testing
● Ensure that objectives and experimental plans are well‐prepared and communicated for effective project execution with the highest attention to process and personnel safety
● Design of pilot test units from lab to demonstration scale and develop protocols to efficiently generate data for process development.
● Documentation and presentation of experimental results
● Work with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments to plan and execute industrialization plans including plant trials.
● Maintain a strong emphasis on safety. This includes responsibility for conducting thorough safety analysis of experimental programs.
● Identify the opportunities to drive business growth, cost reductions, and improvements to company safety and environmental performance.
● Develop expertise in the company’s core technologies.

● Work effectively with R&D researchers, staff, technicians, and management for competent performance of job functions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering with 3‐5 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry, and water and wastewater R&D is required. Experience with reactor and/or process design and scale‐up is preferred. Desired experience in bench-scale laboratory equipment or pilot plants. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with technicians, fellow researchers, engineers, management, and executive levels is essential. Ability to effectively manage multiple and/or changing priorities with minimal supervision. Strong technical orientation, able to use and build on their technical education, training, and experience to perform well in an R&D work environment. Needs to be highly creative in proposing new projects, and optimizing system performance. Excellent problem‐solving skills are required. Highly self‐motivated individual who is driven to succeed in any environment
