Information from Financial Aid on Privately Endowed Fellowships

The UCLA Financial Aid and Scholarships Registered Student Application is about to reopen for the upcoming year on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The following awards require only the general application submission:

·               Malcolm R. Stacey Memorial Scholarship

·               Paulson Scholarship Fund

·               Werner R. Scott Fund (Award is on hold and has been removed while we await a decision on our proposal to the UC Regents from spring 2022 to revise severely limiting criteria.  New proposal: “To support scholarships for worthy, faithful and needy students, both male and female, residing in Hawaii.”    We will keep you posted if/when the proposal is approved and we can offer it again.

The following awards require the general application submission, plus supplemental materials.  They open March 18 and are currently set to close on April 18, 2023:

·               UCLA Faculty Women’s Club (FWC) Scholarships

·               UCLA Affiliates: Hortense Fishbaugh Memorial Fellowship

·               Gold Shield Alumnae of UCLA - Ethnic Studies Fellowship

·               Will Rogers Memorial Fellowship (Run in coordination with the Center for Accessible Education, whose eligibility criteria will now be used for graduate and professional students, as well as undergraduates)

Faculty nominations are no longer required, but a letter of recommendation from a UCLA Faculty member will be required for FWC, Affiliates, and Gold Shield applications. There is no limit per department, school, etc. but letters must also be received by the application deadline.
