Summer Updates: Staff Hiring and Office Hours

The CalFresh Initiative at UCLA is very excited to announce that the application to join our team for the next academic year has been released! We are looking for both undergraduate and graduate students with a diverse set of skills, knowledge, and experiences with the motivation and commitment to promote food security on campus and in our communities.

On another note, we are also continuing office hours for Summer Session on Monday 10:00am - 2:00pm and Thursday 1:00pm - 5:00pm via Zoom. Students can schedule appointments via our Calendly. If students have any other inquiries, they can also email us at calfresh@cpo.ucla.edu and we will respond within 1-3 business days.

Background information: CalFresh Initiative at UCLA hosts weekly office hours to provide students one-on-one assistance and guide students through the application. CalFresh is California's version of SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), a federally-funded food grant program. Many students qualify for CalFresh and can receive up to $236/month to spend on groceries if they are eligible for a work-study job, receive Cal Grant A or B, and/or have an EFC of $0 under the COVID-19 exceptions.
