Internship Opportunity at Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL)

Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL), established in 2012, is on a mission to educate local Latino elected officials on water policies to promote timely and equitable actions that ensure a robust economy, healthy communities, and a resilient environment for all Californians. WELL hosts annual conferences, regional workshops and fellowship programs to educate elected leaders on the most pressing water issues in California.

WELL is currently recruiting fellows for its flagship program UnTapped, preparing for a series of state-wide legislative workshops, and designing a new exciting network of past and current WELL Fellows. The primary scope of the intern’s work will be to engage and assist in the design and implementation of these projects. The intern will also have the opportunity to research water policy involved in the educational programming for these events, as well as pitch-in innovative ways of engaging public officials and educating them about water management, environmental justice, and leadership development in general. Additionally, interns will assist WELL’s staff on fundraising, administrative and other day-to-day tasks.

The WELL Internship Program is a unique opportunity for students to learn about environmental justice and management from the perspective of a non-profit organization.
