Application Extended for Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship Program
The
Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship (GUM) Program at UCLA is
extending the application deadline for graduate students. GUM provides
mentoring practice, training, and
professional development opportunities for graduate students.
GUM
matches graduate students with undergraduate students based off
academic interests and similar characteristics. Once matched, graduate
students will have the opportunity to mentor
students interested in learning more about graduate school and the
application process in the following fields: education, humanities, neuroscience, psychology, public health, public policy, sociology, social welfare, and urban planning. GUM’s specific
goal is to impact marginalized students (e.g. first generation,
undocumented, queer, underrepresented ethnic communities, etc.), who
plan to apply to graduate programs in the mentioned fields above.
Benefits of being a GUM Mentor:
·
Professional development (Training and practices of mentoring skills and other related skills)
