GSR Opportunity for Family Medicine in UCLA Blum Center
The UCLA Blum Center on Poverty and Health in Latin
America is hiring a Graduate Student Researcher. The Center aims to
become internationally recognized for its cross-disciplinary training,
research and policy contributions, and its ability
to drive and create high-impact innovations to improve health and
promote resilience in Latin American communities throughout the
Americas. This position will support the UC Blum Research Action
Network, formed to stimulate and showcase original research and
policy initiatives across the UC Blum Centers. In May 2017, the annual
Compendium was released and this GSR position will seek ways to help
further promote and publish the work of the UC Blum Federation. One idea
is to work with a journal to coordinate and
invite compendium authors to submit a manuscript to be part of a
special section of a journal devoted to research. The UCLA Blum Center
is looking for someone who can do an assessment of research identified,
organize the research in different categories, review
relevant research, write summaries of research, and communicate with
researches related to poverty from various fields. Excellent spoken and
written communication skills are essential.
Ideally, the GSR would be available for Spring, Summer and Fall quarters.
