PRESENTATION:
CONTRACTOR LESSONS FOR ENGINEERS

Are you interested in finding ways to operate more efficiently? With the high demand on consulting services and limited resources to meet this demand, the March dinner meeting will feature a panel of distinguished contractors speaking on ways to leverage the contractorengineer relationship and how to improve communication and coordination between us. Our panelists come from various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, residential, and retrofit/existing building. Panelists will share their knowledge and lessons for engineers to apply at various stages in their projects. A few lessons that will be shared include the development of construction drawings, RFI responses, and common mistakes that cause rework during construction. Engineers at any stage and from different sectors will learn beneficial perspectives and ideas for improved construction documents as well as do's and don'ts at various project stages. These lessons will provide the engineer with practical knowledge as they continue on their career path or may be shared with engineers they are mentoring.
