Hello Students with Dependents, Welcome to Fall Quarter! The Students with Dependents Program at the Bruin Resource Center welcomes you to UCLA! The SWD Program is here to support you and your family during your time at UCLA, we are pleased to serve all graduate and undergraduate, international, and non-traditional student families! We invite you to participate in our programs, connect with other parenting students, and to take advantage of the many resources available to you on campus. We are so excited to meet all of our parenting students. We will begin group Thursdays at 9:30 am until 10:30 am with free coffee. *The first 10 students to come to this weeks Coffee Talk will win a FREE child goody bag!           EVENING YOUTH PROGRAM available for UCLA Students with Dependents and it is FREE! Do you need to be on campus later in the day to attend a workshop, group work, a club, a meeting, or just to study at the library a little bit longer?? Well do not forget that the Little Bruins Clubhouse located at the John Wooden Center has you covered!     COMMUTER BREAKFAST   Avoid traffic and start your day with coffee, breakfast and connecting with other commuters! Learn about important food security resources at UCLA.      When: October 18th 7:30 am-9:30 am Where: Transfer and veteran Center Kerckhoff 128/132     LACTATION SPACE The Lactation Space in the Student Activities Center (B8) is now open for use from 7:30am-11pm. For your privacy, if you need to use the lactation space to nurse or express milk, please check-out an “IN USE” sign from the front desk at Room 100 or at the Bruin Resource Center B44. A key to the lactation room can be checked out at the BRC between 9-5pm, and from the Pool Deck (directly upstairs from the lactation room) between 7:30am and 11pm   Want to know more about BREASTFEEDING?  Remember to register for this breastfeeding event ASAP! And if you have any questions please be sure to contact our lactation educators at swd@saonet.ucla.edu       WINTER QUARTER PARKING PERMIT DEADLINE Parking permit application for WINTER quarter is now open and will CLOSE October 27th! Parenting students remember to fill out the exemption section of the application! (THIS IS YOU PARENTING STUDENTS! BE SURE TO FILL OUT THE EXEMPTION SECTION OF THE APPLICATION AND PROVIDE ALL DOCUMENTATION!) If you have any questions, contact Jean Libby.
