Scholarship Opportunities from Anchor QEA - Application deadline Nov. 13
I am an alumnus of the 2004 M.S. class in civil
engineering. I currently work at Anchor QEA, a 380-person
waterfront-focused engineering and environmental science firm
headquartered in Seattle with offices all over the U.S., including
two in Southern California (Huntington Beach and Mission Viejo). I am
reaching out to let you and your graduate students know about our
scholarship program (not to mention our company, if you happen to have
students interested in our line of work). I have
copied the student affairs office.
Since 1999, Anchor QEA has presented over $126,000
in scholarships to graduate students across the country—to 129 students
representing 49 different universities. Applications are now being
accepted for the 2017 scholarship. Candidates
for the 2017 Anchor QEA scholarship need to be graduate students
majoring in geology, environmental sciences,
hydrology, planning/land use, landscape architecture, fisheries, or
coastal, geotechnical, civil, environmental engineering with an aquatic/waterfront emphasis, site remediation, or related fields. Applications are due November 13, 2017.
The scholarship will
be awarded in January 2018. Attached, please find a flyer describing
the scholarship. Additional information and an application form are
available at Anchor QEA’s website at
http://www.anchorqea.com.
Please feel free to share this with colleagues in other areas of emphasis such as geotechnical engineering.
Thank you,
Managing Engineer
