Greetings from The University of Manchester in the UK.

I am the USA Country Manager for the University and help promote our scholarships, master’s degrees and research opportunities to US students.  We work closely with the Fulbright and Marshall commissions to deliver scholarships for grad school study to US students and many of our top research institutes attract leading scholars from around the world - I came across your details on the Fulbright website listing fellowship advisors.

The University of Manchester is an International Commitment Partner with the Institute of International Education and provides scholarships for Fulbright and Marshall Scholars – this year we will welcome 5 Marshall scholars, more than any other UK university.

The University of Manchester also offers the President’s Doctoral Scholar award of 100 prestigious PhD scholarships each year to elite researchers. You can find a list of our research beacons on our website here. I am also pleased to inform you that we also have a new scholarship for US students to study at our prestigious and new Global Development Institute. Our Alliance Manchester Business School also offers a Master’s Scholarships for US residents, which provides a substantial contribution towards tuition fees for five outstanding candidates.

We are hoping to attract high calibre students to join this world-leading institute and this may be of particular interest to students from the UCLA.

I will be visiting Southern California in September and would like to include a visit to UCLA if possible, to discuss scholarships at The University of Manchester and provide more information about our flagship academic institutes such as the GDI and Humanitarianism and Conflict Response Institute.

We have a new guide for US students and an online guide for counsellors which you may find informative as well. Please let me know if you need any additional information or have any questions about the visit.

Kind regards,

Daniel Annoot | International Officer
