Deadline Extension: First Undocumented Student Housing Community with Office of Residential Life
Dear Fellow Students,
Thank
you for your interest in establishing the first undocumented student
housing community with the Office of Residential Life.
We, USPARC and PATHS for US, wanted to provide additional information
about the process and make sure you are aware of the quickly approaching
deadlines.
1. If you would like to be part of the on-campus undocumented student housing community,
you must fill out two forms. The first form being your UCLA housing application (here
https://housing.ucla.edu/my-housing/my-housing
) and the second form is the undocumented student intake form
(https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfphRi1nY6h0Z-E3jed8g72s6fwUK--NQqKiiwwVAToJYGfVw/viewform)
2. Please fill out your housing form by January 24, 2017
(deadline may be extended)
3.
Specifically, the Office of Residential Life will match your housing
form with the intake survey to establish that you are applying to be
part of the on-campus undocumented student community.
It is very important that you submit both forms.
4.
Undergraduate and graduate students can apply; you can learn more about
Pamilya House, the on-campus undocumented student housing initiative
here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfphRi1nY6h0Z-E3jed8g72s6fwUK--NQqKiiwwVAToJYGfVw/viewform
5.
For this initiative, housing for undocumented students will be
prioritized and if you fill out both forms, your housing status will
become guaranteed. As such, the housing lottery and housing
restrictions pertaining to years in school will not apply to you.
6.
Should you have a housing need prior to the 2017–2018 academic year,
the Office of Residential Life has committed to personally working with
you. Please contact Suzanne Seplow (SUZANNE@orl.ucla.edu)
7.
Should you want to communicate with a student about the process and/or
our ongoing conversations with the Office of Residential Life, you can
contact your USPARC
mentors, Norma Reyes (reyesny2@ucla.edu)
and Cristian De Nova Ledesma (cdenova@saonet.ucla.edu)
and/or at ucla.usparc@gmail.com.
8.
Please help spread the word! The deadline is quickly approaching and we
want to ensure that everyone who is interested has submitted the
appropriate housing documents.
On
a personal note, we would like to apologize for previously providing
the non-anonymized survey link and thank you for your consideration and
patience.
In community,
PATHS for US & USPARC
