Every year, the Strengthening Our Cities Summit brings together the community to learn resources and tools to better understand the risks of earthquakes and how to mitigate losses.
GOALSConvene government, business, and technical experts to move forward together to address the community's need to be able to recover from an earthquake.

Educate attendees on the latest tools, techniques, and rules for evaluating building performance and seismic stability.
Highlight trends and best practices for cities, building owners, and businesses in addressing existing buildings.

TimberFever is a 4-day design-build competition, consisting of a full-day design charrette and two full days of construction. Participants will be able to communicate with each other as well as practicing architects and engineers during the design period. At the end of the design phase, participants will enter the construction phase and will be asked to build their design with the assistance of representatives from the Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario.
