Volunteers Needed for UCLA Women in Tech Conference

The 2016 UCLA Women in Technology Conference is coming up, and we are looking for volunteers to help out the day of the event! The conference takes place on August 12, 2016 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm in the UCLA Pauley Pavilion Club. This is a great opportunity to attend an invite-only summit that will convene more than 250 leaders and stakeholders to discuss the gender and diversity gap in the tech sector.

Speakers include Jonah Peretti, CEO of Buzzfeed, Yolanda Mangolini, Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion at Google, Jeanne Holm, Deputy CIO of the City of LA,  and many more!

To learn about the different volunteer opportunities available, please click here. To become a volunteer:
  • Fill out this Google Form
  • Register for the conference on Eventbrite using the registration code gobruins16

For undergraduate and graduate students, there is also a contest to engage in a “fireside chat” with Buzzfeed founder Jonah Peretti during his conference keynote. Entries will be accepted until Friday July 22nd, and finalists will be announced the week of July 25th on our website and social media. Application and details can be found here: http://womenintech.ucla.edu/content/contest
