Networking 101, Building Professional Relationships: Preparing for Careers in Non-Profit, Government, & Industry
for Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Scholars
Career Center Room 200
December 9, 2015
12:00pm - 1:30pm
Building professional relationships is integral to a successful career, especially for graduate students. However, most are uncomfortable with face to face “networking” as it is often misconceived as intimidating and inauthentic.  During this highly interactive workshop, graduate students and postdocs will learn and practice meeting and initiating conversations with people they don’t know, appropriate networking norms and strategies, and identify concrete and effective ways to follow up to create and sustain professional relationships.
Light lunch will be served
