Thesis & Dissertation Filing Deadline - Winter 2015

Deadline: Tuesday, March 10th at 5pm PST

- Visit http://www.grad.ucla.edu/etd for formatting guidelines and important information about the submission process.
- All requirements, including faculty signatures, must be met by the deadline. Do NOT wait until the last day to file your thesis or dissertation.
- The Winter 2015 interim deadline is March 24, 2015, at 5p.m. PST.

HELPFUL HINTS
1.Your committee members must log in to https://go.grad.ucla.edu to sign off on your final oral exam and/or manuscript.

2.After completing your process, you can log back into the Graduate Division website (http://www.grad.ucla.edu/etd/) to check the status of your committee approvals.

3.What counts as submitting by the deadline? How will the Graduate Division determine my filing date and whether I've met the deadline? All of the following must occur by the official deadline:
- All required committee members have signed off
- Committee has certified you have passed the final oral exam (if applicable)
- You submitted a final PDF via ProQuest
- You completed the online Graduate Division process at http://www.grad.ucla.edu/etd/


4. What is the interim deadline?  If you file after 5pm on March 10, but before 5pm on March 24th you will not have to enroll and pay registration fees for Spring 2015, but you will earn a Spring 2015 degree.

The last date that all of the items listed above is complete will be your filing date. For example, if you submit your final dissertation PDF and complete the online process on March 6, three committee members sign on March 7, and the final committee member signs on March 10 by 5 p.m. PST, your filing date will be March 10 assuming you have met all other degree requirements.
