TA Opportunity

The Filipino program in Asian Languages and Cultures Department invites applications from registered UCLA Graduate students for TWO 25% TAs for 2014-2015. We require a commitment for all three quarters and preference will be given to those who can be with us for two years. Duties include leading a discussion section every week, help with grading and proctoring tests, quizzes and exams, help with class presentations, scanning and photocopying (no more than10 hours total per week).
Applicants must be fluent in Filipino (including reading and writing skills). Preference will be given to applicants who are native speakers and have taken Linguistics courses or studied another language formally. Previous TA experience is a plus. All applicants who did not complete their undergraduate studies in the US must clear the TOP English exam before they can teach at UCLA.
