The Air Force is looking for several Palace Acquire Interns (PAQ Interns) – request your assistance in getting the word out to recent graduates or about to graduate in urban planning, regional planning, urban studies, or other related degrees.  We currently have three vacancies (Nellis, McConnel, and Fairchild), but there could be additional locations considered in the future. Mindful Writing Retreat Sessions on November 3rd, November 8th, and November 17th. The mindful writing retreat will integrate simple techniques from mindfulness to support the writing process and cultivate an approach to writing that fosters balance, self-care, and well-being. Please bring a current writing project because much of the retreat time will be allocated for writing. Strategies for Writing Effective Scientific Papers  on  November 8th This workshop will address basic principles for writing scientific papers and offer strategies for avoiding common pitfalls. We will also introduce key points from Joshua Schimel's book  Writing Science  on developing good narrative structure and clarity to make writing engaging and impactful.
